Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice (US)
Last updated: August 2026
This notice applies to consumer health data of users in the United States, in particular residents of states with dedicated consumer health data laws such as Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada, and Connecticut. Our general Privacy Policy also applies.
1. What “consumer health data” means
Consumer health data is personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. Because AngerApp helps you manage anger and emotional stress, we treat related information as health data.
2. What health data we collect, and what we do not
AngerApp is built so that health-related content stays on your device:
- Your in-app anger entries, journal logs, mood and usage data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
- The self-assessment quiz on the website is computed entirely in your browser; your answers are not sent to us.
- Optional surveys (e.g., beta feedback) load only with your consent and are processed by our processor Tally.
- Optional cloud backup & sync (Supabase) transmits only the content you explicitly choose to sync, under a pseudonymous identifier.
- The optional AI features process the text you enter in that session solely to generate your reply; it is not stored and is not used for training.
3. Purposes
We use health-related data only to provide the features you use (for example, to generate an AI reply or to sync content you selected). We do not use it for advertising and we do not build health profiles.
4. No sale, no sharing for advertising
We do not sell your consumer health data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or targeting. We disclose it only to carefully selected processors that perform a specific function for us, are contractually bound, and may not use it for their own purposes.
5. Consent and withdrawal
We ask for your separate, affirmative consent before we collect or process health-related data that leaves your device. This consent is separate from our Terms of Service and is not inferred from your general use of the app: cloud backup & sync is off until you turn it on, optional surveys load only after you accept, and the AI features process only the text you choose to submit in that session. We do not share consumer health data with a third party without a separate valid authorization from you. You may withdraw your consent at any time by turning the feature off or by contacting us at privacy@angerapp.io.
6. Your rights
- To confirm whether we process consumer health data about you and the processors we disclose it to.
- To delete your consumer health data.
- To withdraw consent you previously gave.
To make a request, contact privacy@angerapp.io. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the timeframes required by law.
7. No geofencing
We do not use geofencing around health-care facilities, and we do not use location data to infer your health status or to target you based on it.
